The Pro-life Ministry promotes the Church's teaching regarding the dignity of life from conception to natural death. They sponsor conferences, prayer services and fundraising events to ensure the public is aware of pro-life issues and opportunities.
Activities include a Pro-Life Rosary each Tuesday evening at 6:00 p.m. in the Holy Family Adoration chapel, on Sundays at 8:30 a.m. in the Holy Family Adoration chapel, and before the 11:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday in the church, as well as participation in deanery-wide and national pro-life activities.
The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) has called upon all parishes to “vigorously” advance the pro-life position. John Paul II stated that the condition for survival of America depends on our treatment of the unborn. Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever welcomes this child in my name, welcomes me and whoever welcomes me also welcomes the one who sent me.” Luke 9:48. Please consider welcoming the unborn child in your hearts by joining the Pro-Life ministry at Our Lady of Lourdes.
