Children Faith Formation
(Pre-K - 5th Grade)

Provides Sunday morning classes to develop in each child (ages 3 years through 5th grade) a greater love of Jesus, our Savior and Teacher, and an understanding of our baptismal call to discipleship.

Youth Faith Formation
(Grades 6-12)

The OLL Youth Faith Formation Program, for 6th through 12th grade, focuses on empowering young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today, to draw youth to participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic Church and to foster the spiritual growth of each young person.

Rising 9th graders are invited to begin a two year period of preparation for the sacrament of Confirmation.

The Middle and High School Youth Ministry is distinct from the faith formation program.

Our Youth Ministry is committed to providing opportunities for students and families to enrich their spiritual lives, serve the community, and participate fully in the life of the Church.

Why Faith Formation?

The mystery of Catholicism and of Faith is best unraveled with the pursuit of life-long learning. Just as we graduate from one level of school to the next, our need to learn and grow, and to deepen our relationship with Lord never stops.

Faith formation at every age of life is intended to deepen the spiritual life of a disciple.  The faith of the Catholic Church is shared and passed onto successive generations through Sacred Scripture and Tradition.  Through the practice of the faith, we become identified with and pursue a way of life that is one of discipleship.  We are followers of Jesus Christ.

"At the heart of catechesis we find, in essence, a Person, the Person of Jesus of Nazareth, the only Son from the Father....Catechesis aims at putting people in communion with Jesus Christ; only he can lead us to the love of the Father in the Spirit and make us share in the life of the Holy Trinity."  CCC 426

Our faith formation programs for children, youth and adults focus on developing a life-long relationship with the Lord, living as disciples, with a deepening understanding of Scripture and Tradition, in service to God and the community.
