1st Reconciliation and 1st Holy Communion

1st Reconciliation and 1st Holy Communion is a two year program.  No worries, if you have missed the window to complete the sacramental preparation classes.  We offer sacramental preparation classes for all students 2nd-5th grade for 1st Reconciliation and 1st Holy Communion.  

1st Year Students:
For those students that are entering the 2nd - 5th grade without a year of faith formation in the school or in a parish and are hoping to receive their 1st reconciliation and 1st Holy Communion.  They will complete their first year requirement either at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish or in OLLS and will be placed in a Sacramental Preparation Class the next year (meeting the 2 year diocesan requirement).

2nd Year Students:
Preparing for 1st Reconciliation and 1st Holy Communion will choose between:
#1 - Those students that attend OLLS from 2nd grade - 5th grade:
For those students that are at Our Lady of Lourdes School (OLLS) and have completed their 1st year requirement at OLLS or at another parish or school (**), they will receive their sacramental preparation at OLLS if they are entering 2nd grade or if they are entering grade 3rd - 5th at OLLS and are needing to complete the Sacrament of 1st Reconciliaiton and Sacrament of 1st Holy Communion, please sign-up for an additional Sacramental Preparation Class below.
(**) If the 1st year was at another parish or school, please have the parish or school send a letter stating that your child has completed their 1st year requirements.

#2 - Those students that belong to OLL Parish and attend a non Catholic school:
For those students that have completed their 1st year requirement at OLL, OLLS or even at another parish or school (**), and are not taking religion class at OLLS for their 2nd year, will enter Children's Faith Formation Classes which meets at 10:15 - 11:15AM (every other week) in the Elementary School building in the grade their child currently is expected to enter. 
If your child is entering grade 3rd - 5th and are needing to complete the Sacrament of 1st Reconciliaiton and Sacrament of 1st Holy Communion, please sign-up for an additional Sacramental Preparation Class below.
(**) If the 1st year was at another parish or school, please have the parish or school send a letter stating that your child has completed their 1st year requirements.

A requirement of your child's baptism is expected to be received by 1st day of class.

For 2023-2024 the following times are available for Sacramental Preparation Class (2nd year). Class if for all students in 3rd through 5th grade.
#1 - Tuesday's starting October 3, 2023 from 3:00PM - 4:00PM. (Meeting in the School Library)
                                                                                      or
#2 - Sunday's starting September 24, 2023 from 11:30AM - 12:30PM (Meeting in the School Library)
