CATHOLIC’S DIVORCE SURVIVAL SUPPORT GROUP
Monday evenings beginning January 9 from 7:00-9:00 p.m.
in the Fallon Center Lounge

The Support Group is a divorce recovery program for Catholics, a 12-session series created to help separated and divorced men and women heal from their emotional wounds and deepen their relationship with Christ. Based on Catholic teaching and spiritual principals, each session is intended to help people find peace, power and passion that they have lost through divorce.

The cost for materials is $15. All are welcome.

The Women of Grace® Study Program leads women on a journey to discover the gifts of authenticity, femininity, holiness of life, and woman's purpose and mission in the world today. Participants will meet in a small group setting every other week, beginning in February for prayer, discussion and DVD lectures. Participants will study and discuss themes of relevance in today’s families and the world, using a variety of tools including the book Full of Grace, as well as the Catechism, and Sacred Scripture.

Changes in the wording of some familiar prayers of the Mass will be incorporated into the Liturgy on the First Sunday of Advent, November 27, 2011. For an overview of the changes, please see the bulletin inserts listed below:

Sacraments

Baptism and Preparation Class for Parents


Parents of children under the age of seven to be baptized are asked to attend a Baptism Preparation Class prior to the child's reception of the sacrament. Class is held on the 2nd Sunday of each month at 10:30 a.m. in the Parish Office Conference Room. The date for the Baptism will be scheduled after parents' attendance at the Preparation Class. For children over the age of seven not yet baptized, please refer to Children's Catechumenate. Contact the Parish office for additional information.

Reconciliation and Eucharist


Reconciliation is offered every Saturday from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. or by appointment.

First Reconciliation and First Eucharist 2012

Sacramental preparation is a two-year process beginning in Grade One. Children prepare for Reconciliation and First Eucharist by attending either Our Lady of Lourdes School, or weekly Faith Formation classes the year before receiving the sacraments in Grade Two.

Confirmation


Confirmation preparation is a 2-part program.

  • The first year of preparation involves Catholic instruction at a Catholic high school or Sunday morning classes at the parish.
  • The second year all students meet together for weekly classes at the parish.

Adults who have not been confirmed are welcomed to call the parish office at 919.861.4600.

Matrimony


Arrangements must be made with the pastor for an initial interview at least 6 months prior to the wedding. Subsequent meetings will be made by appointment with the pastor. Participation in the Marriage Preparation Program is required.

Conferred upon request prior to surgery or at time of illness.

Ministry to the Sick
Please telephone the parish office to advise staff of illness or hospitalization of a family member.

Holy Orders


A priest is ordained to proclaim God's word and administer the Sacraments. By the grace of his ordination, he is able to make Christ truly present in the Eucharist, the center of his life and ministry. The Vocations Office of the diocese assists young men who are interested in exploring a possible call to the diocesan priesthood.

Coffee Social after the 9:00 a.m. Mass


Join us every Sunday after the 9:00 a.m. Mass and enjoy coffee, donuts and fellowship in the Fallon Center Hall. This is a great way to meet new parishioners and catch up with friends in our parish family. Rosary for Life


You're invited to pray the Rosary for Life with us every Sunday at 8:30 a.m. in the Adoration Chapel and at 11:00 a.m. in the Church, and every Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. in the Adoration Chapel.
