Catholic Parish Outreach (CPO)
Coordinates the resources of local parishes in providing food, baby, toddler and maternity items. Volunteers needed to sort food and clothing and package items to distribute to clients.
Donations to CPO are made monthly at Our Lady of Lourdes using the “Share Sunday” envelopes. Donations of non-perishable food items, baby and maternity clothes, baby equipment and supplies can be left in the basket at the back of the Church.

Children of God
A school in Guatemala that furnishes 200 girls with food, clothing, an education, and the basic needs of life. Each girl has a parish sponsor who contributes $30 each month for her support. Several times each year, the girls and sponsors exchange letters and also parishioners are given the opportunity to travel to Guatemala as a group to visit the girls and school.

Gifts of the Magi
An outreach project that provides Christmas
gifts to families in need, both in our parish community and the greater
community at large. Volunteers needed for gift sorting, labeling and
delivery.
Time Commitment – 1 to 2 hours per year

The Healing Place
Provides innovative recovery and rehabilitation to the homeless, needy, alcoholic or chemically dependent of Wake County, through a continuing mutual-help program. The Healing Place provides long-term residential substance abuse recovery and rehabilitative programs operating within a homeless shelter framework.
Volunteers needed to:
 | prepare and serve meals |
 | perform clerical work |
 | assist in finding affordable housing |
 | donate clean, wearable men’s clothing, underwear, socks and shoes |
Financial donations are also welcomed.

Michael James House
A transitional dwelling place supported by Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in partnership with Habitat for Humanity. Volunteers needed to nurture the family while waiting for their Habitat House to be built and also to paint and refurbish house between tenants.
Time Commitment – 1 to 2 hours per month or as needed

Meals on Wheels of Wake County
To deliver hot, nutritious noon-time meals to the elderly, sick, disabled, homebound and those unable to prepare meals for themselves. Volunteer teams of two OLL parishioners deliver meals approximately 6 times per year.

Red Cross Disaster Services
Do you like helping others? Do you like to think of yourself as having
made a difference in someone else's life? You have an opportunity
to turn your compassion into action by joining the American Red Cross.
It is a volunteer led organization that helps people prevent, prepare for
and respond to disaster. For more information on how you can serve

Refugee Resettlement
Assist in the resettlement of refugees from all over the world, especially Southeast Asia.
