"Christ is counting on you" is the call, and we count on Christ and His Holy Spirit to guide the work. The Cursillo Method is very simply put in terms of: "Make a Friend, Be a Friend, Bring a Friend to Christ."
The purpose of Cursillois to make Christian community possible in neighborhoods, parishes, work situations and other places where people live the greater part of their lives. A men's and women's four-day weekend is offered with presentations about the sacraments and our Catholic faith. The weekend, which is usually held twice a year, includes fellowship, prayer, and liturgies.
Cursillo is a 60-year-old movement of the Catholic Church which focuses on the evangelization of environments by individual Catholics. They are supported by the prayer and sacrifice of groups. It has been part of the Diocese of Raleigh for over 40 years. The movement began in Spain, spread to the USA and now has millions of members world-wide.
